All week Emmerdale’s fans have been teased by that grotesque looking hand lurking beneath the icy lake that the limo crashed into.
We first caught glimpse of it when Amy Barton (Natalie Ann Jamieson) fell through into the depths when trying to cross the ice.
As she was plunged into the freezing water, she let out a scream when she saw the limb of the dead body.
Since then, Emmerdale has shown it a couple of times, sparking many theories, not least of all that Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) is lurking down there, having never made it out of the village.
It’s a theory that has been circulating for some time, and now a brand new clue could be what confirms it.
But for now, Emmerdale is keeping its cards close to its chest on the identity of the corpse.
However, there is a fresh development as it has become evident that the body is the victim of a murder.
Wrapped up in binbags, the person has been disposed of in the water – so who wanted the mystery person dead?
Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) arrived on the scene where police were pulling the sunken limo from the water.
She wanted to ensure that the body of her late girlfriend Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough) was recovered and it seemed like a discovery had been made by police?
But as the body still remained undiscovered, there’s a risk that it will be missed entirely now that the limo is out of the depths.
Will we be in for an even longer wait to find out the truth about what has happened?
Or will the deadly week end with a final killer shock as a fourth fatality rocks the village to the core?
