Emmerdale ‘confirms’ new love interest for Aaron – and things get heated
Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) was feeling excited in tonight’s Emmerdale – he had bagged himself a date.
By date, we mean a hook-up in a hotel room and by hotel room, we mean a van at the side of the road.
Aaron had a problem before leaving the village though – he needed a car. Heading to the garage, Aaron explained his issue to Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb) and said he could ‘borrow’ Pollard’s (Chris Chittell) car and bring it back in time for his service.
Mack agreed and with that, Aaron was off.
Driving along a country road, Aaron’s day took a turn when a man flagged him down. The new face turned out to be John Sugden, played by Coronation Street’s Oliver Farnworth.
John explained that his van had broken and he needed some help because he had no phone signal, and needed to get it to a garage.
As Aaron revealed his hotel plans during their chat, it was then confirmed he was looking at the man he was supposed to be meeting there.
Aaron got out of the car and managed to fix John’s van enough so he was able to drive it to the garage. Just as they got chatting, it then became apparent John wasn’t really interested in the small talk and instead, got straight to kissing him.
After checking out the back of his van (steady on), Aaron said to John that they could meet up again.
With John allegedly keen on the idea, Aaron made his way into the bushes to go to the toilet. However, he then heard John’s van starting up and, to his horror, realised he had been royally played.
Eventually, Aaron returned to the village thanks to Mack’s help. Because his wallet and Eric’s keys were sitting in John’s van, Aaron also had to organise a recovery van to bring the vehicle back.
As Vic (Isabel Hodgins) approached and discovered Aaron’s eventful afternoon, the trio wondered how on earth they would get things sorted before Pollard and Cain (Jeff Hordley) found out.
Aaron may not know John’s name now but tomorrow, Vic will drive Eric to a funeral which will turn out to be for John’s mum.
Things then change again, as Victoria discovers John is a Sugden and therefore, her half-brother.
