Emmerdale fans convinced Cain Dingle set for dramatic exit after 24 years in shocking family twist
Emmerdale's Cain Dingle has been a firm favourite with viewers ever since he made his debut in the village back in 2000, but could his time be up following the death of Steve Halliwell's Zak Dingle?

Emmerdale’s Cain Dingle, portrayed by Jeff Hordley, might be bidding farewell to the village. The character, who first appeared in 2000, quickly became a fan favourite and has been at the centre of numerous major storylines.
Currently, he’s embroiled in a tense situation with his soap partner Moira (Natalie J. Robb) due to a conflict involving his nephew Samson Dingle (Sam Hall) and her son Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano).
After being coerced by troublemaker Josh (Osian Morgan), Samson falsely accused Matty of stabbing him, leading to a prison sentence. Despite Samson confessing and ending up in jail, tensions remain high between Moira and Cain.
Additionally, his half-sister Belle (Eden Taylor Draper) has been dealing with her own issues, as her husband Tom King (James Chase) had been abusing her for months. Recently, she ended their marriage and travelled to Scotland to visit her father Zak Dingle, played by Steve Halliwell, who tragically passed away last year, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Emmerdale enthusiasts are wracked with worry that Cain might be the next character to exit the village. A fan speculated on an Emmerdale Facebook fan page: “What if…. Cain storms off to Zac and Debbie’s and nurses Zac whilst he dies and then stays to run the business up there.”
The speculation sparked a flurry of responses in the comments section, with another fan suggesting: “Yeah that would be one way of writing him for a little while, don’t want him to go to prison again as they have done this already.”
Another chimed in: “I think he’s leaving for a bit but he usually comes back after a rest.”
while a different viewer emphatically declared: “I hope not! no there would be no point in Emmerdale without Cain.”
