Kim Tate (Claire King) has issued a warning to Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) after learning of his affair with Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) in Emmerdale.
This week, Kim revealed to Joe that she had recently placed an audio bug in his room to try and find out what he was hiding from her.
In the conversation, Kim told Joe that she hasn’t found anything untoward on the device, and has now decided he can be trusted.
When Joe left Home Farm, Kim updated Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) and said her words were just a cover-up story, because she now has a new plan.
With that, she gave Lydia a new role – Home Farm cleaner…and spy.
Lydia was more than happy to take on the task. In tonight’s episode though, she realised she needed to brush up on her ability to sneak about, as her cover was nearly blown by Joe.
Wanting to prove she’s the right woman for the job though, Lydia then followed Joe to a cottage in the woods. As she waited behind a tree, she watched Joe meet and then kiss Dawn.

After grabbing a few snaps on her phone, Lydia raced back home to tell Kim all about it.
Believing Joe was taking advantage of Dawn, months on from her dad’s death, Kim wasted no time in confronting him.
Their conversation, perhaps unexpectedly, left Kim irritated due to Joe trying to take control. He tried to say that Dawn was orchestrating it all because she’s in a dull marriage with Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle).
Before the chat ended, Kim warned Joe and said whatever he’s up to, affair or not, if he was to cross her, she’d get revenge.
And given this is Kim Tate, it would most definitely be more than just throwing him out of Home Farm.
