Emmerdale’s Cain left baffled by Moira as story takes another unexpected turn
Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) continued to grow concerned about partner Moira (Natalie J Robb) in tonight’s Emmerdale.
In recent episodes, Moira and Cain have clashed multiple times, which is having a huge impact on their marriage. At first, Moira’s desperation to free an innocent Matty (Ash Palmisciano) from prison saw her argue with just about anyone who didn’t agree with everything she was saying.
This week though, things have certainly changed – and not for the better.
Moira has been irritable and on the edge a lot while at Butlers. A few days ago, when Matty expressed his worry towards Samson (Sam Hall) and him going to prison, Moira harshly told her son that he’s at risk of becoming a ‘doormat’ if his behaviour didn’t change.
Yesterday, Moira ranted to Cain about her busy life as a working mum. Seeing her struggling, Cain gently told Moira it might be a good idea to speak to Doctor Liam (Jonny McPherson).
Sadly, the conversation ended with Cain and Moira clashing again, so Cain left the house. Left alone, there was a brief moment Moira seemed to feel unwell.
When we returned to their home, Matty found his mum on the sofa after apparently taking a nap.
Moira sat up and was puzzled. Her reaction to Matty’s update suggested she had no memory of falling asleep but instead of telling her son this, she covered and said she’s not been eating much and needed some rest after a few early starts.
That evening, as Cain opened up to Sam (James Hooton) about Moira and their troubles, she was seen in the kitchen with some alcohol in hand.
In tonight’s episode, the worrying scenes continued. Cain found Moira at home stressing over some missing paperwork, so he tried to help. Unfortunately, Moira made Cain feel as though he wasn’t making the situation any better.
Before the instalment ended, we returned to Butlers and found Moira in a completely different mood. When Moira tried to flirt with Cain, he wasn’t interested. He confronted his wife and wondered why things had suddenly changed after their argument that morning.
Moira was puzzled and the way she reacted, it suggested she didn’t actually remember what had happened.
As Moira walked away to get ready for a shower, Cain was stood in the kitchen completely perplexed.
Taken aback by his wife’s behaviour, will Cain find out what is going on with Moira?
