Two Emmerdale stars, who plays siblings in the ITV soap, have announced their wedding date, two years after getting engaged.
Max Power and Kris Mochrie met on the set of the Yorkshire-based soap where Max played Luke Posner, son of Wendy Posner, between 2019 and 2021, while Kris played his sibling Lee. The duo hit it off away from the screen and started dating in 2020 and have now shared their wedding date, and there is less than a year to go.
Kris shared a rainbow image on his Instagram Story during the week with which he wrote, “365 days to go,” along with an engagement ring emoji. Kris then added: “& 365 things to do.” This would mean that the pair will be tying the knot in August next year and have a busy 12 months ahead of them.

The couple began dating in 2020 and enjoyed a holiday in Dubai during their early days together, in which they spared no expenses to ensure it was a lavish break. By the end of the year, Kris and Max had moved in together and less than a couple years later, they were celebrating their engagement. It was Max who got down on one knee and said that when Kris said yes, it was “the happiest” moment of his life.
Max shared the happy news on social media, writing on Instagram: “He deserves the world, but the best I could do was promise him my heart. HE SAID YES! Happiest moment of my life. @krismoc my fiancée.” Sharing later, Max revealed that the engagement ring was made partly of some of his late grandmother’s treasured locket.
Max wrote on Instagram: “The beautiful soul that is my best friend asked me to marry him yesterday. I can’t begin to describe how happy I am. I love him beyond words, we laugh every single day and I’m so, so grateful that he came in to my life. I had no idea at all! But it was just perfect… I mean, this film says it all.
“Max had asked my Mum, for any jewellery that my Gran had. Mum still had my Grans locket, and he has had it made in to the middle of the engagement ring on the inside. So so special. Thank you to the job that brought us together, our incredible family and friends. And the amazing love from you all. I’m a very lucky boy.”
