Several secrets are on the verge of unravelling in Emmerdale next week, which could change the lives of countless residents forever.
Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) is set to put his fragile relationship with troubled daughter April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) on the line when he makes a reckless decision in upcoming scenes.
Elsewhere, Steph Miligan (Georgia Jay) is determined to get to the bottom of Anthony Fox’s disappearance once and for all, and her search brings up some surprising discoveries…
Meanwhile, Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) faces more torment from her blackmailer, while Tracy Shankley (Amy Walsh) continues to hide her financial woes.
With medical shocks, enormous secrets and romance in the air, it is set to be a busy week in the Dales.
Monday, March 10
When Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) and Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) arrive at the doctor’s surgery, Manpreet thinks it would be prudent to double-check her test results.
It’s heartbreaking for Manpreet and Charity as they watch Sarah try to process her positive pregnancy test was a false alarm. Given her shortened life expectancy, Sarah is convinced she’s missed out on her only chance of a family.
Ross Barton (Michael Parr) tries to persuade April she needs professional help to assist Dylan come off drugs.
When Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) discovers some ketamine missing from the drugs cabinet at the vets and the most likely suspect is Dylan. Dylan denies it, but when the ketamine is found in Dylan’s coat pocket, April’s crushed by his betrayal.
Later, Rhona’s horrified when Marlon admits he had put the ketamine in Dylan’s pocket, in an attempt to frame him.
They’re both soon shocked to hear that Dylan has overdosed. Seeing Dylan in critical condition in hospital, Marlon’s distraught. He is desperate to confess to April but Rhona reminds him this will only alienate his daughter all over again.
Steph’s suspicions about her Grandad’s mysterious disappearance are heightened when she answers a phone call from a friend of his who was expecting him to visit. Steph’s also very intrigued by her mother’s fraught behaviour…
Later, Caleb catches Steph rooting through his office for any clue that would shed light on Anthony’s present whereabouts. Steph remains convinced her parents are hiding something about Anthony’s disappearance.
Tuesday, March 11
Marlon implores with Dylan as he confesses all and how he regrets his action, insisting he only had his concern for his daughter in his mind. Feeling guilty, Marlon offers to pay for Dylan to go to rehab.
Marlon is deeply touched when Dylan tells him not to upset April by telling her the truth about planting the drugs.
Elsewhere, Manpreet is on edge regarding her blackmailing issue.
With Steph unrelenting in pursuit for the truth, soon Caleb enlists Ross to stop Steph digging into Anthony’s whereabouts. But Steph makes a horrifying breakthrough when she finds the revolver, certain it was involved.
Wednesday, March 12
When Marlon arrives to take him to rehab, he’s torn when Dylan wants to see April.
Marlon is on tenterhooks as Dylan reveals he has something to tell her.. Will he tell April what Marlon did and shatter their fragile relationship?
Caleb explains the gun was to kill Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and hopes this will be enough to convince Steph. Steph heads to confront Cain and marches into the farm wanting an explanation from Cain – will Cain back up his brother’s story?
Steph is still determined and Caleb does his best to comfort terrified Ruby. Caleb’s left reeling after Ross comes to the Depot to tell him that Steph is planning to report him and Ruby to the police for their involvement in Anthony disappearing.
Thursday, March 13
Tracy continues to keep her financial struggles a secret from her sister, and tries to mask her dread when Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) summons her to the Woolpack for a chat.
With Dawn Fletcher’s (Olivia Bromley) head still turned by Joe Tate (Ned Porteous), Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) is feeling rejected and tries to view Manpreet’s online profile.
Kim Tate (Claire King) is thrown when Dawn asserts her desire for Joe hasn’t wavered.
Marlon and Rhona hold Rebecca’s funeral without April but agree April needs involving in scattering her child’s ashes. After they broach the subject, they’re left forlorn as April’s determined to have nothing to do with the ritual. But will she change her mind?
