There’s huge scenes ahead on Emmerdale next week, with big secrets revealed, major discoveries and concern for residents.
Joe Tate’s big secret and his mystery health issue finally comes to light, just as he finds himself caught up in Manpreet Sharma’s storyline. Manpreet herself will edge closer to discovering who her blackmailer is, and she accuses Joe in a big twist.
Elsewhere amid fears over John Sugden being a serial killer, he’s forced to jump into action when his future mother-in-law Chas Dingle collapses. Amid this there’s an engagement, a new arrival causing trouble, suspicions about a disappearance and plenty more.
Let’s kick things off with the big Joe twist as it’s the moment we have all been waiting for. Spoilers do not reveal specifically what is going on, but that’s because it’s being held back for when the scenes air next week.
Amid his fling with Dawn Taylor he continues to shun her next week, while her husband Billy Fletcher gets closer to Manpreet. There’s a charged moment between them, and soon Billy blurts out a confession to Dawn as he struggles with his near kiss with their neighbour.
He tells her he’s been messaging another woman online, unaware she has actually been sleeping with another man, Joe. Billy is grateful for Dawn’s abrupt forgiveness, unaware of her betrayal.
Meanwhile we will see Joe visit Dr Crowley as their true plan in full finally comes to light. Elsewhere next week, Manpreet isn’t just caught up in drama with Billy, but her blackmail ordeal continues.
Viewers have seen the character confide in Ella Forster about nasty messages she’s received, threatening her over some racy images she uploaded to a subscription website. What started as something that empowered Manpreet has left her horrified, as a mystery person is now tormenting her with messages, having copies of the images on her account and threatening to leak them.
Next week she thinks she knows who’s to blame after she sets out to confront and unmask her harasser. She plans to pay up, but as she goes to meet them Joe appears leaving her raging at him, thinking he’s to blame.

But he soon protests his innocence and she believes him. Joe then offers to help her pay them off, but why would he do this and who is really tormenting her?
Newcomer Kammy makes his debut next week, and soon he’s up to no good with Sarah Sugden. When he steals a quad bike from the farm it’s Ross Barton who gets the blame, and soon he’s forced to explain himself.
As Kammy’s antics come to light, Sarah is eager to spend time with him amid recent drama and the pair hang out. Just as the pair seem to get close her grandmother Charity Dingle walks in, but how will she react?
There’s celebrations next week too as John Sugden proposes to his partner Aaron Dingle, much to the annoyance of his mother Chas Dingle. John opens up to Aaron about Chas “not accepting him” after weeks of awkwardness between them both.

Later in the week Chas and Ella have a bust-up, and as the drama continues John is more worried about her not accepting him. As he remains keen to get her onside he heads to the pub only for Chas to suddenly collapse and hit her head, but will the medic be able to help her and could this win her round?
Finally next week Jai Sharma grows suspicious over Caleb Miligan as he spots his unease when he brings up his missing father-in-law Anthony Fox. But will Jai realise what’s happened, and could this put him in danger?
