( Emmerdale: The penny finally drops for Bear)
Paddy Kirk’s (Dominic Brunt) father Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) is about to make a shocking discovery in Emmerdale.
In the lead up to Paddy and Mandy’s (Lisa Riley) wedding, focus has been on Mandy’s money problems.
Drowning in debt at the salon, Mandy has taken to starting up a financial dominatrix account.
The beloved face figured all she’d need to do was run the profile until the books balance up again, and not tell Paddy in the process. Sounds simple enough, right?
Well yes but because this is a soap, Mandy’s ideal situation was never going to play out.
In the above new video – taken from Tuesday’s (August 13) edition of the ITV soap – Bear is at the salon having his beard trimmed by Amelia (Daisy Campbell).
He briefly hears Mandy’s voice, but thinks nothing of it when Amelia says she didn’t hear anything.
As the young mum pops out to take a phone call, Mandy’s voice returns as she talks about being ‘shy’ and a ‘Mummy’s boy’.
The sound is coming from Mandy’s new karaoke machine. Unbeknownst to her, she has left the device on while talking to her next findom client – and Bear has heard everything!
Because Mandy is talking to another person on the call, her future father-in-law overhearing it is – of course – a recipe for disaster.
After these scenes air, Bear confronts Mandy over what he heard and threatens her that if she doesn’t tell Paddy about what she’s been doing, then he will.
Bear is later irritated when Paddy is singing Mandy’s praises as he realises that she hasn’t come clean to Paddy and is still lying to him. So he comes up with a plan.
Mandy gets a request from another client, and it’s an offer she can’t refuse.
’Someone’s offered her another £300,’ Lisa Riley told us. ‘She says “This £300 will pay for the meal for Paddy,” because they go back to Venice for their honeymoon. All she wants is to treat Paddy.’
Unfortunately for Mandy, this final client is someone she already knows well.
‘Unbeknownst, Bear logs on under a pseudonym and it all goes bananas,’ Lisa confirmed.
As Mandy deals with her client, Bear gets a notification on his phone. It turns out that Mandy’s last client is actually Bear, trying to catch her out.
It’s not long before he shares what he knows with a horrified Paddy – who is now not sure if he wants to go ahead with the wedding after all.
