Emmerdale confirms gun shocker for major family in early ITVX release
The following article contains spoilers from an episode of Emmerdale that hasn’t aired on ITV yet, but can be viewed on ITVX.
Steph Miligan (Georgia Jay) has made an alarming discovery in her search for granddad Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day) in Emmerdale.
Anthony was killed by his daughter Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) earlier this year. In the aftermath, Ruby, Caleb (William Ash), John (Oliver Farnworth), Cain (Jeff Hordley), Chas (Lucy Pargeter) and Aaron (Danny Miller) agreed to keep the truth hidden for the sake of themselves but also Steph, who still doesn’t know her granddad is actually her father.
Put simply, Steph’s consistent nagging over what really happened to Anthony has been driving Caleb and Ruby mad. They’re being forced to have poker faces all the time, but also lie to try and convince Steph that her granddad is fine, he just doesn’t want to be contacted.
Yesterday, Steph took a phone call from Anthony’s friend in France. He was asking after him, because he had previously said he would visit overseas.
Steph was immediately interested and started asking all the questions. Unfortunately, her call was overheard by Ruby, who quickly stole the phone and ended the conversation.
A frustrated Steph couldn’t understand why Ruby and Caleb were still trying to quash her attempts at investigating.
In tonight’s episode, Steph took a slightly different approach in her quest for the truth. She approached Caleb and Aaron in the pub, and said she had heard from her granddad.

This knocked the duo for six. Caleb reacted quickly, letting her daughter know that it was good news Anthony had finally made contact.
When Steph was alone, Aaron told Caleb that she obviously knows something’s up, because why else would Steph say a statement that she knows isn’t true?
Taking action, Caleb decided to visit Ross (Michael Parr), thinking he could help.
Just before the episode ended, Steph told Ross to leave Mill Cottage, concluding he wasn’t really serving any benefit to her as she attempted to open the house safe.
Steph was successful in unlocking the door. Laying in the safe, to her horror, was a gun.
And it’s safe to say that discovery changes everything.
