Ella hatches a plot in Emmerdale as Manpreet’s blackmail ordeal gets worse
Ella Forster (Paula Lane) is potentially being a bit too supportive when it comes to Manpreet Sharma’s (Rebecca Sarker) blackmailing ordeal in Emmerdale.
The local GP admitted to her friend last week that someone has been sending her worrying text messages with proof they’ve accessed her profile on a site similar to OnlyFans.
This left Manpreet in an utter panic, convinced her secret would be exposed, and her career as she knows it would be destroyed.
Ella suggested to Manpreet that she deletes her account. She did exactly that, but the person seemingly watching her every move then said removing her profile wouldn’t make a difference to them.
In tonight’s episode, Ella found Manpreet outside and wondered if she had received anymore messages.
She wondered if pretending to call the police would impact the blackmailer at all. Calling their bluff, if you will.
Manpreet seemed fearful of the potential consequences, but knew Ella had a point when she said sitting and not doing anything wasn’t a good option.
A while later, Ella visited Manpreet in her office at the surgery as she filed through the post. She came across a letter addressed to the doctors, and then opened it.
Inside was a private image of Manpreet. Ella handed it to her pal, and she was horrified.
Alongside the picture was a note that referenced the conversation the two friends had earlier that day about the police.

It certainly suggests the blackmailer is Ella, given there really wasn’t anyone close by when we saw her and Manpreet in the village as the episode began.
However, last week, Manpreet got a text from the culprit when Ella was sat right beside her, and we didn’t see her on a device.
Perhaps Ella is working with someone to destroy Manpreet’s life?
If that is the case, what are her motives?
