Emmerdale’s Beth Cordingly, 48, is all of us as she gets candid about ‘never growing up’
Beth Cordingly has proven she’s just like all of us as she listened to One Direction music while wearing a Sabrina Carpenter hoodie.
‘Oh god’, said the Emmerdale star, who plays Ruby Fox-Miligan on the ITV soap, as she branded herself a ‘stunted development tween in a 48 year old’s body’ in a video on social media.
The soap actress shared her outfit of the day with fans, which included a hoodie with the Espresso hitmaker’s moniker on it and a pair of tracksuit bottoms as she confirmed she’d been listening to One Direction.
Taste.
The 48-year-old wrote that she remembers telling her mum that she ‘never wanted to grow up’ when she was 10 years old, hinting that she stayed true to her word.
‘I did pilates today though on one of those machines,’ she added. ‘That’s quite grown up, isn’t it? I mean I don’t think it’s very grown up if you giggle all the way through it and go: “Oh it’s like being on a magic carpet”.
Iconic.
Beth is in a relationship with Ian Kesley, who starred in Emmerdale as Dave Glover between 1994 and 1996, and she credits him with helping her with her work.

He’s worked with me on the script’, she said in a chat with the Mirror.
‘Because we both really enjoy working on things together. To be in a relationship with someone who you can do this with, it’s really special.
‘I’m very lucky’.
Beth has been at the centre of a huge Emmerdale storyline over the past six months after it was revealed that Ruby was abused by her father Anthony when she was a child.
The ordeal came to light when Anthony arrived in the village towards the end of last year.
After months of torment, Ruby killed Anthony, who had been attacked previously by Aaron (Danny Miller), and the murder was subsequently covered up.
