Ross Barton (Michael Parr) somehow managed to bag himself a job working for Kim Tate (Claire King) in tonight’s episode of Emmerdale.

This week, the troublemaker met Kammy (Shebz Miah), who had been stealing items from farms in the area.

Ross had been accused of this crime by Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb), and was passionate about proving his innocence.

He confronted Kammy about the thefts, but it happened after the new face had befriended Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill).

As a result, Sarah defended Kammy and said he wasn’t involved.

Frustrated, Ross then developed another plan. He told Kammy to go to Home Farm to steal a tractor, and also wanted 50% of the sales. Kammy made his way up there but as he left, Ross reported him.

In tonight’s episode, Ross learnt that Kammy was smarter than he thought. At Home Farm, Kammy told Ross that he hadn’t stolen a vehicle – but instead had stolen a horse.

Kammy then left the scene, which made is look as though Ross had nicked the horse.

He brought the animal back to the paddock, but the situation was spotted by Kim. She held a gun to Ross’ back and wanted answers.

Quick with his words, Ross managed to worm his way out of the situation pretty successfully. He ended up convincing Kim that he’d be perfect for keeping an eye on security at Home Farm, and she agreed.

A smug Ross headed to the pub for a drink where he found Joe (Ned Porteous). As soon as Joe learnt his enemy was now working the same place he lives, his face dropped.

Joe knew Ross’ presence would increase the chance of not only his affair with Dawn (Olivia Bromley) being exposed, but his organ donation plot with Doctor Crowley as well.

Ross is in Joe’s way…just what will he do to change that?
