The feud between Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) and Ella Forster (Paula Lane) is about to reach new heights in Emmerdale, as Ella attempts to defend herself following a major accusation.

Chas never planned to be at the bottom of Ella’s Christmas card list, but falling for Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) has put her there. Ella and Liam were together not too long ago, but their relationship ended once the local GP realised his feelings for Chas were stronger.

In the pub recently, Chas suddenly collapsed and was tended to by John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth). Ella then got accused of drugging her enemy, out of spite and revenge for stealing Liam from her.

In the coming days, Ella remains hellbent on trying to prove she is innocent. Despite Chas withdrawing her statement from the police, Ella refuses to leaves the Dales.

She then comes up with a plan and decides she can prove that Chas attempted to frame her. Ella implores Liam to listen and tries to suggest that his new partner has an addiction to painkillers.

Feeling worried, Liam heads to the back room in the pub and checks through the cupboards just in case. He’s caught by Chas, who is frustrated once she learns Ella planted the seed in Liam’s mind.

Chas heads to confront Ella, but she sticks to her theory that she overdosed. With Ella interfering in Chas and Liam’s relationship, her future is then put in jeopardy again when Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker) announces that she’d like her to move out.

Losing control of the small life she had built in the Dales, a bitter Ella informs everyone about Manpreet’s secret online profile and how she’s being blackmailed.

We know this storyline will eventually lead to Ella Forster’s exit from Emmerdale, but just how will her final scenes play out?

Will she leave to start again elsewhere or, with her behaviour getting worse, will it be in the back of a police car?
