Spoilers for next week’s soap episodes have promised huge drama, tense scenes and possible heartbreak.

Emmerdale, EastEnders and Coronation Street all air key storylines and big scenes, with multiple characters taking centre stage. There’s some possibly life-altering ordeals and moments ahead, that could change everything for some characters.

One villain’s sinister plan could lead to the brutal and devastating death of an unsuspecting resident, when things go violently wrong. One teenager faces a horrifying ordeal at the hands of the police with her parents nowhere to be seen.

There’s a devastating and super tense gun showdown too, as one baddie takes hostages and leaves lives at risk – with a gunshot ringing out. There’s so much happening next week across all three soaps, and plenty of hints at future plots too. Here we take an in-depth look at the key storylines happening on each soap in the coming days…

Emmerdale Caleb ‘death’

Fans are fearing Caleb Miligan will be killed off next week after Joe Tate and Dr Crowley carry out their sick plan to steal his kidney. Caleb’s nephew Joe has chronic kidney disease and needs a transplant to survive.

The pair plan to drug Caleb and operate on him without him knowing which is extreme enough, but when the plan is hit with multiple issues Joe takes deadly action. Caleb will be stabbed and left to die, with Joe pretending to help him by taking him to the private clinic where Crowley is waiting to operate.

Crowley is mortified by the change in plan as Caleb shows up barely alive with life-threatening injuries. He tells Joe the stabbing injuries are too severe and he might not be able to save his uncle.

It’s on Crowley to save the seriously injured character who is bleeding to death, and suddenly he flatlines. Spoilers do not give away Caleb’s fate or what happens next as a result of Joe’s twisted actions.

Spoilers released earlier in the week had sparked concern after they teased Caleb would go AWOL, disappearing while running an errand. As his wife Ruby and daughter Steph await his return, will they be faced with heartbreaking news?

Coronation Street hostage drama

Corrie’s biggest plot next week is without a doubt Rob Donovan’s deadly revenge. With him in a bad way as he remains on the run, despite clearly needing medical attention, things take a catastrophic turn.

Rob threatens ex Tracy Barlow into tricking his sister Carla Connor, making her head to the Barlows’ home for “a business proposition”. Of course when she gets there, she’s panic stricken to find a bleeding Rob holding a gun, leaving both women in grave danger.

Rob plans to make his big escape and take Tracy with him, but it’s teased he could take a final revenge now that he has a shaken Carla where he wants her. Lisa Swain is horrified to hear what’s happened as a hostage situation unfolds on the cobbles, and soon armed police head to the scene.

It seems Tracy could flee the hostage situation only for Lisa to enter the house, leaving her at risk alongside Carla. But how far will Rob go? Spoilers reveal that someone gets shot, but fans will have to tune in next week to find out who it is.

EastEnders teen’s strip search horror

In Walford next week Avani and her pals Lily Slater and Amy Mitchell skip school for an “adventure day”. WIth Lily still grieving after the loss of her father Martin Fowler, Amy and Avani try to be there for her.

It’s all fun and games until they bump into vape seller Marvin, who offers the teens drugs. Avani refuses, just as the police arrive and spot the girls avoiding school. In that moment they spot a bag of pills that have been dropped by Avani’s feet by Marvin.

Accusing the girls of owning the drugs they take them to the police station. Jack Branning arrives for daughter Amy and Jean Slater is there for granddaughter Lily, but Avani is left alone when mum Priya and dad Ravi Gulati ignore their phones.

Things take a horrifying turn when the teenager is told by officers they need to strip search her as they believe she could have more drugs concealed under her clothes. Avani is left terrified as she is strip-searched by two female officers.

When her grandmother Suki Panesar arrives having been told by Jean what’s gone on, she’s left mortified by the treatment of Avani who refuses to make a complaint. Soon her ordeal leaves her spiralling, but how will her parents react and can they help Avani in her time of need?
