In upcoming scenes, Nate Robinson admits to Mackenzie Boyd that he’s been offered a job opportunity in Scotland but needs to make a hasty decision, revealing he has got until tomorrow to accept it. Nate is left torn over the opportunity as it means he will be leaving his family, estranged wife Tracy Metcalfe and daughter Frankie behind.

Later in the week, Nate finally plucks up the courage to tell Tracy and he shares his news, covering his upset over the difficult decision as the on-off couple fail to admit their true feelings for each other. However, the duo have more things to worry about when they realise they don’t know where Frankie’s gone and it’s not long until Tracy calls the police over her missing daughter – is the youngster okay and will she be found in time?

Also in scenes this week, Nate sneaks off to take a mystery phone call, while it’s not known who he is talking with or what the conversation is about. But with next week’s spoilers, could it be his job opportunity in Scotland? It comes amid reports that the character is set to depart later this year.

News of Nate actor Jurell Carter’s rumoured exit first emerged in late June as The Sun claimed the actor himself had decided to move on from soapland. “Nate has been at the centre of some huge storylines and his exit will be no different”, the insider told the publication at the time, explaining that Nate’s exit storyline will be one viewers would hate to miss.

“It will be dramatic and explosive and will go down in Emmerdale history. It won’t be one to miss. Jurell has loved being on the soap but he’s a young actor and it’s understandable he wants to spread his wings. He’s got a lot of talent – not to mention the looks – to become a big star and leaving the soap is the only way he can do that. Five years is a good run but he feels it’s time.”
