(Emmerdale: Tom satisfied as Belle’s domestic violence application rejected)
Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) is left devastated in Emmerdale next week when she receives an update about her request for information on Tom King (James Chase).
The former events planner decided to seek help from the police, making a Clare’s Law application after months of torment and abuse at the hands of husband Tom.
Clare’s Law allows people the right to access information about their partner or spouse to find out if they have a history of domestic abuse or violence.
Tom, as fans know, has made Belle’s life a living hell through psychological, emotional and physical abuse.
After months of torment, Belle decided to call time on the relationship, recognising Tom for the cruel abuser that he is.
Tom responded by attempting to gaslight Belle into giving him another chance but his efforts have proven fruitless, with Belle standing her ground – adamant that they have no future together.
Upon realising that he played a role in the supposed death of her beloved dog Piper, Belle made a request to the police under Clare’s Law, hoping to find out any information as she came to the realisation that she had been the victim of domestic abuse.
Belle receives an update following her application in Monday’s (September 2) edition of the ITV soap and, unfortunately, it’s not good news.
As seen in the preview clip above – taken from the episode in question – the application didn’t turn up anything on Tom at all.
Tom, meanwhile, spies on Belle. The abuser, as fans know, has installed hidden camera in Dale Head and has a key to the property. What’s more, he installed software on Belle’s laptop that allows him to see what she’s doing on the device.
The above clip sees the abuser grin with glee at Victoria Cottage, as he reads Belle’s email. The question is: will Belle be able to find anything to prove that Tom is not the kind man he makes himself out to be?
The race is certainly on as, later in the week, Belle finds out that Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) is in a relationship with Tom!
