Emmerdale fans ‘feel sick’ as controversial love triangle revisited after five years

Emmerdale fans were left horrified tonight as Moira tried to kiss Nate

It’s safe to say that Emmerdale fans were not happy this evening as Moira Dingle’s affair with son-in-law Nate Robinson was revisited again – five years after the very controversial scenes first played out.

Moira, played by Natalie J Robb, has been struggling with an unknown health issue after the last few months, which has seen her alienated from her family. Her confusion and forgetfulness has nearly resulted in a number of incidents and worrying situations – from forgetting where she was while with her son to nearly killing brother Mac.

But things took a horrifying turn as Moira tried to kiss Nate after comforting him with a hug – leaving him reeling.

Moira had been unloading items off a truck in the barn when Nate began talking to her about things on his mind. “Things have been brewing with me and Tracy again, which is probably a bit daft,” he admitted. Moira insisted it wasn’t weird as she told him it was “never too late”.

“If you’ve got the chance to make it work then do it,” she retorted. Moira then asked what Tracy thought, to which he admitted he didn’t know. “As soon as we kissed I shot out and we’ve not spoken since.”

Moira laughed, batting him with her gloves as she said: “Nate! What are you like? Look, get off, go find her and talk to her.” He responded that he wasn’t finished with his work and asked what he was going to do if she told him to ‘do one’.

“She won’t,” Moirs replied, before appearing to slightly struggle with her speech as she blurted out: “Bosses orders.” She then brought him into tight hug, which resulted in her slowly dragging her hands down his back before leaning in for a kiss.

A shocked Nate pulled away, asking: “Moira? What are you doing? I’ll finish off the fencing, don’t follow me.”

Stunned fans couldn’t believe what they were seeing, with one commenting: “OMG MOIRA KISSING NATE AGAIN.” While another wrote: “Nate will need to be honest with Tracey that Moira tried to kiss him again. #Emmerdale>”

Unfortunately for Moira and Nate, Caleb had been watching them both from behind a tractor. Will he tell Cain and how will he react?

Fans of the soap will remember that Nate first appeared in the Dales in 2019 as part of a revenge plot against his dad Cain, who had no idea Nate even existed. He went on to have an affair with Moira – who also had no idea about his true identity – to get back at his dad for abandoning him as a child. However, it was later revealed that Cain’s mum Faith had intercepted calls from Nate’s mum Cara in a bid to protect them from Cain’s alcoholic and racist father Shadrach.

After some time passed, Nate was able to finally build a relationship with Cain – but will that all be shattered once again if Caleb tells his brother about what he saw? And how will Tracy react when she hears what happened?
