Emmerdale star Dean Andrews has hinted at danger ahead for more than one character, as the ITV soap airs a terrifying woodland showdown.
Will Taylor finds his blackmail ordeal reaching a horrifying conclusion as the culprit appears to be revealed. Will will be sent sinister messages, before an apparent kidnapping leaves him fearing the worst.
Soon he’s lured into the woods by his mystery tormentor, with danger teased for Will and others. Speaking about the scenes ahead, actor Dean told The Mirror and other press: “He’s getting notes and directions from a voice in the woods, but he can’t fathom out where this voice is coming from or why.
“He’s just gone into a random woods, he’s hearing all kinds of voices. He gets really panicky. He’s got the money, in his bag, he’s got the fifty grand, he doesn’t know what’s going to happen when he finds… he just keeps shouting to somebody saying, ‘I’ve got the money, just come out, stop messing about, stop all this stupidity just come and get the money and leave me alone.’”
Things take a turn when his partner Kim Tate goes missing, and in another disappearance Kim’s horse has been taken. It’s her kidnapping that leads to Will taking action, heading into the woods to confront the mystery person.

He explained: “He’s quite worried when he gets home and he realises Kim’s now missing too. She said she was going to cook lunch and he gets back and it’s absolutely burnt to a crisp, which he can’t understand but then kind of thinks well maybe somebody’s come and grabbed her or you know, something along those lines. It’s very unusual for her to disappear for no reason especially when she knows Will’s hungry!
“Then he gets a call and Kim’s essentially been kidnapped. Kim’s kidnapped, the horse has been taken, somebody wants fifty grand, he’s up the creek. And he doesn’t really know what to do. He gets very panicky about it all. He’s basically at the end of his tether and will do anything to make this problem go away.”
On the scenes, he revealed: “He’s basically directed to go into the woods, he’s following signs, we won’t go beyond that point but it’s pretty frightening for him. He can hear voices in the distance and is following them.”
Dean hinted at violence ahead too, and danger for Will. He teased: “I love that kind of physicality stuff. The fights and the running, the scared and the panicky. They’re always good to play.”
