Emmerdale’s Chas fears the worst as she seeks medical help – and an unexpected outcome follows
Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) confides in Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) in Emmerdale next week, but the important chat leads to a new development in their friendship.
Before Chas and Liam were friends, they were lovers – sort of. Their fling started unexpectedly when Liam spent the afternoon helping Chas bake some cakes for a school fete.
Days later, Chas’ life changed forever when Liam told her that he felt a lump in her breast during one of their passionate antics.
As Chas faced her breast cancer diagnosis, Liam remained a pillar of support for her, but stepped back ever so slightly to give her some space.
During this process, he became interested in newcomer Ella Forster (Paula Lane), but that changed when her child killer secret from her past was exposed.

Next week in the ITV soap, Chas tells Liam that she’s feeling worried because she’s found a rash.
Liam checks Chas out but when he returns from seeing her, he chooses to lie to Ella about where he’s been.
Later that day, Liam and Chas find themselves sharing another charged look.
