Nicky’s Emmerdale exit storyline ‘confirmed’ in unexpected death twist
Nicky Miligan’s (Lewis Cope) imminent departure from Emmerdale village seems to be as a result of an explosive argument with parents Caleb (William Ash) and Ruby (Beth Cordingly).
Yesterday we reported that Lewis, alongside co-star and on-screen boyfriend Brahmdeo Shannon who plays Suni Sharma, have already filmed their final scenes and their exits will air this summer.
There’s certainly been a multitude of reasons for them both to leave in recent weeks, with Nicky being injured in a car crash and then discovering that his mum was responsible for the death of the driver Ethan Anderson (Emile John) in a later hit and run.
Ruby has been riddled with guilt in recent weeks, and in lastnight’s (13th June) episode, she felt under pressure to come clean ahead of his funeral. She even began searching online for the maximum sentence she could be handed for manslaughter.
Caleb tried to reason with her, saying that the last thing Charles (Kevin Mathrin) needed was to hear he was murdered just hours before heading to the church to conduct his own son’s service – but she wasn’t having any of it.
At Woodbine Cottage, she sat down and awaited to break the news to the family, but was quickly stopped in her tracks.
Charles had received the life-changing news that Ethan’s death was as a result of an aneurism, that could’ve killed him at any moment, and Ruby breathed a sigh of relief.
