Laurel Thomas in Emmerdale has left fans questioning if a health scare or baby twist could be on the cards.
The character was rushed to hospital last week after a fight with her son Arthur Thomas led to her hitting her head. Things got heated and Arthur pushed his mum, causing her to fall and hit head on the steps.
She was in a bad way after being taken to hospital but is now recovering. She’s claimed she can’t remember what happened, with Arthur torn over confessing to his outburst.
But since her hospital dash, Laurel has been displaying some worrying health symptoms. She’s been feeling dizzy and faint, and she’s sparking concern with other characters as well as fans of the ITV soap.

Now, some fans think they have figured out what is causing her health issues. One theory suggests she may soon find out she is pregnant with Ray Walters’ baby.
Another theory is that the bang to the head has caused a health issue, possibly a brain injury of a neurological condition, with a fan wondering if she may be diagnosed with epilepsy. Taking to social media one fan said: “I know it was her son that caused her accident but after today’s episode and her going dizzy again, anyone else think she could be pregnant with Ray’s baby?
“I didn’t watch it for ages so I don’t know if she could still get pregnant.” A second fan commented: “Anything is possible in soap land but I think it’s more likely that she has some kind of brain injury or neurological condition that they missed because they sent her home so fast.”

A third fan posted: “I think there is something more to it, perhaps epilepsy brought on by her head injury. This setting Arthur into a downward spiral.”
Laurel actress Charlotte Bellamy recently addressed the storyline with Arthur, hinting there was more to come. She said: “The story is about how much a mother or a parent protects their child.
“She doesn’t want people to think the worst of him. As a parent, you want to protect them, don’t you? Arthur feels like he should have known too, and he wants to protect Laurel. That starts them on another journey, the two of them.”
