Belle told she is going to prison in Emmerdale – but a twist in the Tom King story beckons
Tom King (James Chase) was feeling very smug in tonight’s episode of Emmerdale.
Last week, after the character was arrested on suspicion of abusing wife Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper), Tom informed his solicitor that he hadn’t told the police he owns a tablet which has proof he had been watching Belle via hidden cameras.
The solicitor instructed Tom to get the tablet before the police because if not, they will have strong enough evidence to have him charged.
Unbeknownst to Tom, the tablet had been taken by Isaac (Bobby Dunsmuir) from Carl (Charlie Munro Joyce). Isaac ‘borrowed’ it because he wanted to play a game on there, but Moira (Natalie J Robb) took it from her son after spotting some downloaded files.
The video clips proved Tom had installed multiple cameras in Dale Head with the sole purpose to spy on his partner. Moira was determined to give the tablet to Belle, but she ended up having a seizure and getting lost in the woods on her way.
As she recovered, it became apparent Moira had no memory of what had happened that morning and therefore, couldn’t remember why she needed to contact Belle.
In tonight’s episode, Tom’s objective was to get the tablet. After gaining access to the spare key to Butlers, Tom snuck in and got searching.
However, he was forced to hide when Matty (Ash Palmisciano) arrived home and took a nap on the sofa.
Eventually, he woke up and left, completely oblivious to the fact Tom was hiding behind a door ready to attack Matty if he found him.
Tom found the tablet, placed it in his bag and left, feeling very pleased with himself.
Outside, Tom confronted Belle. He was confident when he told her that she’d be going to prison for everything she’s apparently put him through. Belle, feeling exhausted and hopeless, looked terrified about her future.
Back at the King household, Tom took his tablet from the bag, found a rock, and prepared to smash it up.
As a result of him still recovering from the axe attack, Tom didn’t really take into consideration he’d be making quite a lot of painful noises while breaking the device – enough to spark the attention of Carl.
As the screen broke and Tom continued to hit the tablet with a rock, Carl watched the situation from his window.
He’s bound to speak up and tell his parents – will Carl be the reason Tom is sent to prison after all?
