Emmerdale delivers the shocks next week – in more ways than one! – with Tom King (James Chase) left fighting for his life after he’s electrocuted, as confirmed in my new spoiler pictures.

The ITV soap’s villainous abuser, who has tormented wife Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) for months, is left seething with rage when he makes a big discovery.

Belle, as viewers know, discovered last week that she was pregnant and, knowing that she couldn’t proceed with the pregnancy, she secretly booked a termination, with upcoming scenes seeing her tell Tom that she suffered a miscarriage.

Next week, Belle confides in Rachel – her Mental Health Care Coordinator – about how she lied to Tom, and Rachel soon starts to realise the extent of Tom’s controlling behaviour, encouraging Belle to put some distance between her and her husband.

Belle agrees to do just that and sets off to see Debbie.

Tom, however, gets wind of Belle’s trip to the abortion clinic and is enraged, grabbing an old rusty iron bar as he smashes up a barn.

And things take a shock turn, with the abuser getting electrocuted. After losing consciousness, Tom collapses to the floor.

But is this the end?

Elsewhere, Matty Barton’s (Ash Palmisciano) prison nightmare escalates, with the much-loved villager terrified when hardman Les is revealed to be his new cellmate.

With a resident left to die and a prison ordeal on the cards, Emmerdale is must-see TV next week (Picture: ITV)

Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) attempts to bolster Matty, but his efforts fall flat as he advises Matty to use violence on anyone who may mean to cause him harm.

It’s going to be an intense and emotional week, that’s for sure!

Emmerdale airs these scenes between Monday, June 24 and Friday, June 28 at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
