Emmerdale airs moving Belle moment and it’s made us all cry
All we want is for Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) to be happy in Emmerdale.
In the past year, Belle has been physically and mentally abused by husband Tom King (James Chase). A few weeks ago, she attacked the evil man in self-defence with an axe, initially believing she had killed him.
Tom survived this and was arrested for abusing Belle afterwards. Due to the fact he managed to destroy evidence that proved he had been watching his wife, Tom is yet to face police consequences for his actions, leaving Belle feeling utterly hopeless.
At the start of this week, Belle’s situation was made even worse when Cain (Jeff Hordley) told her their dad Zak (Steve Halliwell) died.
In tonight’s episode, as the family gathered for his funeral, they continued to worry about how everything was impacting Belle.
Outside by Zak’s grave, Belle suddenly rushed away and entered her home, which made Charity (Emma Atkins) curious.
Belle was searching for something and spoke about how everything was ‘wrong’. At first, Charity thought Belle was overwhelmed by the return of her sister Tina (Samantha Power), but she then lifted a small pot from a cupboard and confirmed what she was actually up to.

Inside the pot were the remainder of her mum Lisa’s (Jane Cox) ashes. The urn where her ashes were originally stored was destroyed by Tom last year an angry outburst.
Belle said Lisa and Zak needed to be together, so she retuned to the grave and scattered the remaining amount on top of her dad’s coffin.
A moving moment, which will hopefully bring Belle – amid so much stress and anguish – a little bit of comfort.
