Soap fans reckon they’ve cracked the case on Emmerdale’s Tom King’s real dad in a “sick” DNA storyline twist.
Villain Tom (played by James Chase) swaggered back into the village in April 203 and has since been at the centre of some major drama – from tying the knot with Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) to the harrowing domestic abuse saga.
Over the past year, Tom’s dark side has emerged as he subjected his wife Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) to physical and verbal torment. Belle finally broke free from Tom’s grip and revealed the truth to her family, eager to dodge his controlling ways.
But Tom’s been hell-bent on keeping Belle for himself, making her life a misery. Things took a violent turn earlier this month when Belle attacked Tom with an axe, landing her under police scrutiny.

The estranged couple are legally bound to steer clear of each other, yet Belle couldn’t help but break her bail terms recently, thinking Tom was behind a bunch of roses sent after Zak’s (Steve Halliwell) passing.
Tom denied any involvement, which led to an irate Belle chucking the flowers at him, reports Leeds Live. In response, Tom snitched to the cops about Belle’s breach.
And with whispers of actor James Chase’s impending departure from the soap, viewers are buzzing with anticipation that Tom’s wicked ways might soon be over. But now, the audience is abuzz with speculation over a jaw-dropping plot twist on the horizon.
In a plot twist that would leave fans gobsmacked, Emmerdale viewers have cooked up a theory that Tom’s old man is not Carl King (Tom Lister) like everyone’s been led to believe, but actually Zak Dingle. This would send shockwaves through the village as it’d mean Tom and Belle could be half-siblings.
Eagle-eyed soap lovers discussing the potential for Zak having another sprog secretly knocking about said their piece on an Emmerdale Facebook fan group. One speculated: “I wouldn’t put it past the writers to have Tom King as his secret child.”
