Major Emmerdale character’s exit storyline ‘confirmed’ as violent torture twist is revealed
Suni Sharma (Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana) is set to leave Emmerdale soon, as huge secrets about his half-brother Jai Sharma’s (Chris Bisson) previous actions start to come to light.
Suni recently talked to Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) about his partner Nicky Miligan’s (Lewis Cope) plans to leave the village.
Nicky has massively fallen out with his parents, Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) and Caleb Miligan (William Ash), in the wake of Ruby’s decision to take revenge against Ethan Anderson (Emile John) for causing an accident in which Nicky was seriously hurt.
She ran Ethan over, and although he wasn’t badly hurt he later died from an unrelated aneurysm. When Ruby’s actions came to light, Nicky was sickened by what she’d done and his parents’ apparent need to save their own skins rather than tell the truth.
Eager to leave the Dales, Nicky urged Suni to go with him. On talking it through with Laurel, Suni was left with food for thought when she reminded him that Jai would be devastated if he left and Suni realised how attached he was to his family.
What Suni didn’t know at that point was that Jai has been responsible for some pretty vile behaviour himself recently as he took revenge against his and Suni’s father, Amit (Anil Goutam).
Amit had been responsible for the death of his brother Rishi (Bhasker Patel), who Jai grew up believing to be his father. Jai’s response on discovering this was to push Amit down the stairs and then hold him captive, torturing him until he agreed to sign over his shares in HOP.
Not only that, but Jai then told Suni that Amit had returned to India without saying goodbye, and worse still had cut Suni out of the business by not giving any shares to him.
These questionable deeds must be close to coming fully to light as Jai has already had to give Laurel a version of the truth, making it sound like he was a victim of Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) blackmailing him and leaving out the bit about torturing Amit and swindling Suni out of his inheritance.
In upcoming episodes Jai is still holding out against telling his brother the truth, even though Laurel is insistent.
In fact a huge argument erupts between the two of them, with Jai hurling some nasty insults about Laurel’s late husband Ashley (John Middleton) and Laurel collapsing and being rushed to hospital in the aftermath.
Amid all this drama, the truth is surely bound to come out one way or the other. With both Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana and Lewis Cope leaving the soap – and already having filmed their final scenes – could this be the final straw that sends Suni away from Emmerdale for good?
