Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ return after unexpected clue – and it’s a big one
Emmerdale fans are always able to spot intriguing clues that may lead to a big storyline or return in the near future – and the latest one is quite something.
In recent episodes of the ITV soap, focus has been on Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), who has grown suspicious about Belle’s (Eden Taylor-Draper) relationship with Tom King (James Chase).
After Tom was electrocuted in a barn, he discharged himself from hospital far too early so he could return home and keep an eye on Belle.
During his first afternoon back in the village, Tom was somewhat annoyed when Charity paid the couple a visit.
She started to ask Tom questions about the ordeal in the barn, but he then put the spotlight on Belle and revealed to Charity she recently experienced a miscarriage.
Charity was devastated for Belle, but remained unaware of the truth – Belle actually had an abortion, and has been physically and mentally abused by her husband for months on end.
When Charity returned to the pub, she expressed her thoughts on Belle and Tom’s relationship to Noah (Jack Downham). She said Tom seems perfect and when someone is that perfect, they’re always hiding something.
Charity’s fear for Belle continued in Monday’s (July 1) instalment. She enlisted Chas (Lucy Pargeter), Lydia (Karen Blick) and Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) and they staged an intervention, taking Belle off to the Woolpack for what was billed as a girly get-together to cheer Lydia up.
Charity had already known that Belle would try to say she had to stay at home to care for the recently electrocuted Tom, so she organised Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) and Jimmy King (Nick Miles) to stay with him.
