Emmerdale

Fresh devastation for soap fans as Emmerdale pulled from ITV

If you were hoping to check in on young Isaac Dingle (Bobby Dunsmuir) following the heartbreaking death of Minty the lamb tonight, I’m afraid to say that Emmerdale has been replaced by Euro 2024 coverage on ITV (again).

Luckily, with the television schedules all over the place, Metro.co.uk has got you covered with everything you need to know, so let’s have a gander.

To save you tuning into ITV this evening and expecting a trip to the Dales, we’ve got a look at what it’s being replaced with, and when you can next see it on your screens.

Tonight (Tuesday, 2nd July), following a shorter ITV Evening News, Austria v Turkiye will air on ITV1 from 7pm. Kick off is at 8pm, as the line-up for the quarter finals is completed.

It’s worth noting that BBC One is broadcasting Romania v Netherlands, so there is no EastEnders – but you can catch it on iPlayer.

The UEFA European Football Championship 2024 (or Euro 2024 as its known) takes place every four years, though the last one was held in 2021 due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

When will we next see Emmerdale on our screens?

Fortunately, you haven’t got long to wait as Emmerdale returns tomorrow (3rd July) as usual.

After a blistering row between Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) and husband Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson), including an insult thrown-in about much-missed Ashley, she begins to feel dizzy and collapses on the floor.

Terrified for her life, and unable to reach her phone to call for help, we’re left wondering if she’ll be okay…

Elsewhere, Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) is alarmed when Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) gets closer to the truth surrounding Ethan’s (Emile John) death, and Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) catches Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) out for lunch with transphobic bully Josh (Osian Morgan).

Will there be any further disruption?

The final match won’t be until Sunday, 14th July.

Luckily, ITVX have followed BBC iPlayer’s lead by adding episodes onto their streaming service from 7am on the morning of broadcast, so that you have some freedom on when you want to watch them.
