Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ who vandalised Tom King’s car – and it’s someone close to home
Emmerdale fans are convinced they have worked out who is responsible for smashing Tom King's car window and it's not his wife Nicola, as the village remains divided on his innocence
Emmerdale viewers are certain they’ve figured out who’s behind the smashing of Tom King’s car window.
The notorious village rogue, portrayed by James Chase, was recently hauled into custody as part of an ongoing probe into his domestic abuse against Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper). However, he was subsequently let go and the police investigation carried on.
Fans have been theorising that Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler), wife of Tom’s uncle Jimmy King (Nick Miles), is scheming to topple Tom in a fresh revenge plot.
This comes after Nicola escorted her stepson Carl Holiday, played by Charlie Munro Joyce, to the police station to accuse him of lying about a vanished tablet, which holds crucial evidence of Belle’s mistreatment by Tom.

The young lad also confessed that his cousin had intimidated him over the tablet before wrecking it. Earlier this week, DS Foy (Robert Cavanah) grilled Tom about his prior statements. The officer unveiled evidence that Tom had purchased multiple cameras to surveil Belle in her own home, signalling his intensifying controlling behaviour, reports Leeds Live.
DS Foy, who trusts Belle’s version of events, also verified that despite undergoing mental health therapy, Belle was mentally stable when she reported Tom for domestic abuse. However, a potential breakthrough occurred when Foy disclosed that investigators had discovered Tom’s shattered tablet, which would be meticulously inspected by an IT team to retrieve any data.
Tom was met with a frosty reception from Nicola, absolutely convinced hes the villain behind Belle’s ordeal. Meanwhile, the plot thickens as his motor gets walloped by a mystery bruiser and Emmerdale diehards are chuffed to bits tossing their two cents in on Facebook forums.
One viewer laid it out: “Jimmy, your son is the one who smashed to car window.” Another chimed in: “There’s no question about it. Carl was the one who threw the brick at Tom’s car.” And yet another piped up: “Good for him if it is.wouldnt want my kids around Tom.”
But hold your horsesthere’s campers pitchin’ tents on the theory that maybe our man Tom played the blinder himself, all for a sob story. A canny fan points out: “It’s something that Tom would do, anything to get the sympathy vote.”
Then someone else reckons: “I thought Tom had done himself.”
The guessing game’s far from over and it looks like Tom’s next chapters a proper mess, what with Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) stumbling upon him covered in claretis he spinning yarns or up to more tricks?
