Emmerdale fans spot major pub blunder after off-screen death as they cry ‘there’s no way’
Emmerdale fans said one Dales resident must be hiding super-human powers after clocking them in a tense scene with their boyfriend Aaron Dingle and Victoria Sugden
Emmerdale fans were quick to pick up on a hilarious pub blunder.
Fans of the ITV soap couldn’t help noticing that John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) appeared to be using supersonic hearing. In the scenes that aired on Tuesday, John’s boyfriend Aaron Dingle and Victoria Sugden were chatting together at The Hop.
The pair were discussing Seb, the son of Robert Sugden and Rebecca White, the latter of whom sadly died off-screen. Robert is still in prison, so he handed over his young son’s care to an aunt in Bristol.
Aaron admitted they wished they could have looked after Seb between them, but Vic told him it was right that Seb went to stay with Rebecca’s aunt instead. The pair didn’t realise that John had entered the eatery and was listening in on their exchange.

And fans watching at home were pretty confused, because they didn’t know how on earth John was able to hear their conversation while stood so far away from them in the restaurant. They took to X to point out the apparent blunder.
“John must have magnificent hearing if he can hear that conversation,” said one. “There is no way in hell that John heard Victoria and Aaron!,” wrote another.

“John must have magnificent hearing if he can hear that conversation.,” commented a third. A fourth added: “I was amused in the Hop when Vic and Aaron were talking and John could hear every word while hiding at the back. Funny how normally people can talk about someone who’s about three feet away but they can’t hear them.”
Rebecca sadly died during surgery as a result of heart issues, it was recently revealed. Her ex-boyfriend Ross Barton told Charity Dingle the news.

Rebecca left Emmerdale in 2018 alongside Ross and Seb, following two action-packed years in the village. They had gone to start a new life in Liverpool.
