Jai’s violent forklift rampage as he attacks terrified Emmerdale enemy in revenge
This article contains spoilers for tonight’s episode of Emmerdale, which airs tonight on ITV1 – but can be watched now on ITVX.
Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) has exacted revenge on Caleb Miligan (William Ash) in Emmerdale after discovering the ruthless businessman has scammed him out of thousands.
Caleb has been gearing up for the opening of his new distribution depot, with Jai keen to invest after managing to squirrel some cash away during his divorce from Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy).
As viewers of the soap know, he hid the extent of his wealth from his wife and gave the cash to Caleb – under the belief that it would be safe and sound.
Over the last week we’ve seen Jai grow suspicious as to why he didn’t have an office at the new development, and demanded that his hidden cash was returned to him.
In today’s episode, he snuck into the depot early and prized open a safe with a spoon. Suddenly, Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) walked in and caught him in the act – but he too was under the impression that Jai was an official business partner, so there was no foul play.
As the day went on, some of the villagers gathered outside for a glass of champers and to hear Caleb’s vision.
A furious Jai confronted him over the documentation that he’d found, that suggested he had no hold in the company whatsoever.
It was at this moment that the floor fell from beneath his feet, when he learnt that the cash from his divorce had gone into helping build the new company – but Jai’s name wasn’t on the books. He actually had control over a much smaller shell company.
After he made somewhat of a scene in front of everyone, Caleb ordered him off and later discovered him trashing the warehouse with a forklift.
Jai demanded his money back, but Caleb wasn’t budging. In a fit of rage, Jai charged at him in the vehicle, crushing him against a wooden pallet.
Ouch!
Just as things couldn’t get worse for Caleb, his estranged daughter Stephanie (Georgia Jay) strolled in – but for once had his side, and told Jai to let him go.
Outside, the two chatted about her motives for arriving in the Dales. She admitted that she’d heard mum Ruby (Beth Cordingly) was away visiting her brother Nicky (Lewis Cope), and she thought it would be the perfect opportunity to come and claim her inheritance money.
She also stated she wouldn’t be sticking around after it paid out.
Elsewhere, Jai marched into The Woolpack and found everyone gossiping about what had gone on at the warehouse.
Will he get his money back, and is his revenge against Caleb set to continue?
