Emmerdale’s Rose Jackson’s sinister plan was exposed on Wednesday night’s episode.
Soap watchers were left stunned earlier this year when Rose made her debut, where it was revealed that she is the estranged ex-wife of Will Taylor and mother of Dawn Taylor. Rose revealed she and Will had been married, with it clear she’d walked out on them when Dawn was a baby, if not a toddler.
Since then, it’s been revealed that Rose, who isn’t a fan of Will’s new wife Kim Tate, has a connection with another villager Ruby Fox-Milligan and this week the two have been carrying out a secret sinister plan. On Wednesday’s episode, Ruby kept putting pressure on Rose to carry out their plan.
Earlier this week, Rose moved in for a kiss with ex Will, leaving him stunned as he quickly pulled away. During the latest instalment, Rose was left unsure if he would tell Kim and later she was upset to see Will tell Kim that it’s time for her to leave their home. Before he could say anything about the kiss, in retaliation, Rose deliberately caused mayhem by setting a horse loose.
However, more mystery was teased when she receives a cryptic message and she headed to the outskirts of the village, where she met a dealer who handed over a vial of tranquilliser telling her to await further instruction. Despite secretly plotting a sinister plan to spike Will’s drink in order to entrap him, Rose was left overjoyed on Wednesday as she bonded with estranged daughter Dawn, leaving Rose conflicted about following through with her dreadful plan. However, at the end of the episode, she text Ruby letting her know their plan was indeed on.
Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers have predicted someone else could be involved with Rose and Ruby’s plan as the speculated whether Kim’s estranged son Jamie Tate, who previously faked his own death and tried to poison Kim before, could be involved. One person said: “#Emmerdale I wonder if Rose is working with Jamie Tate” while another added: “#Emmerdale Not entirely sure what Rose & Ruby wants to do. We’ve already had the drugging of Kim storyline in home farm when it was Jamie Tate…”
Spoilers for later this week reveal that Rose appears to go through with the plan as just as Will’s about to sip the spiked drink, Dawn and Kim return home with two more drinks poured. As Rose loses track of which drink is spiked, she is left panicked as her sinister plan goes badly awry…
