Emmerdale fans have heaped praise on the ‘sensational’ Beth Cordingly after her performance as Ruby Fox-Miligan in Thursday’s heartbreaking episode.
In the special instalment, viewers learned of the character’s historic childhood abuse at the hands of her father Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day).
A series of flashbacks focussed on the events of Ruby’s 16th birthday, where she was sexually assaulted by Anthony.
This was then interspersed with scenes from the present day where viewers got an insight into Ruby’s innermost thoughts, while her husband Caleb Miligan (William Ash) remained unaware of her struggles.
While watching the episode, fans were blown away by Beth’s performace and share their thoughts on social media.
Posting on X (formerly Twitter), one fan said: ‘Beth Cordingly is sensational. #Emmerdale are so lucky to have her!’
