Emmerdale’s Lucy Pargeter left injured on set as she hints at ‘blooper show’
Lucy Pargeter shared a grizzly snap to her social media platforms as filming for the ITV soap went wrong, but admitted that she and fans are already seeing the funny side
One of Emmerdale’s most beloved actors has injured themselves in a side-splitting blunder.
Lucy Pargeter, who plays the role of Chas Dingle on the ITV soap, admitted that she had hurt herself in the middle of filming new episodes of the show. Taking to social media, she shared a grim photo of her injury, but admitted it was a rather funny cock-up.
In the grizzly pic, Pargeter, 35, shared a photo of her knee, which had a number of layers of skin ripped off from it in a painful injury. The top of her leg was also heavily bruised, with purples and yellows filling the area around the grazing.
Taking to the caption, Lucy revealed she made a stupid mistake that led her to the hilarious gaffe. “Taken out by a woolpack bench today!” she jokingly fumed.
Fans were concerned for the star, wishing her a speedy recovery
She luckily saw the lighter side of things as she carried on writing. “Don’t worry, it will all be seen on some bloopers show… although I’m not sure they have enough ‘bleeps’ to cover my potty mouth,” she finished, before signing off with a smiley face.
Many concerned fans rushed to the comments section in order to share their messages of love and support for the actress. One user penned: “Ouch!! Glad you’re ok!! No stitches, so all good. Just make up a good story for the bruise you’re going to have.”
A second account added: “Ooooh that’ll be purple this morning,” followed by a crying emoji. Whilst a third fan wrote: “Aww, who’s Chas been scrapping with this time! On a serious note Lucy, I hope you’re okay, love xx.”
It comes as Chas’ family continue to cause havoc in the village with their multiple storylines. Chas’ cousin Belle Dingle remains under the thumb of her abusive husband Tom King, as he continues his reign of terror against her.
Fans have been trying to work out what is next for Belle after she tried to run away from Tom after aborting their child. Upon hearing the news, Tom flew into a fit of rage, but fans are now convinced worse is yet to come for Belle, as Tom plans to whisk her away to Wales – away from family and friends to isolate her further.
Similarly, Sam and Samson’s ongoing stabbing storyline is picking up pace, after Moira Dingle set her sights on getting the truth from Samson. With son Matty still in prison after wrongly being convicted of maliciously stabbing Samson, can he strike up the courage to come clean on what really happened?
Emmerdale airs every weekday at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
