“What’s Next for Jurell Carter? Emmerdale Star Talks New Role After Nate’s Exit”
Emmerdale star Jurell Carter has landed a new role, just months after his exit from the role of Nate Robinson sparked huge mystery among fans.
Nate left the Emmerdale village for a new job in Shetland in September, and the sudden nature of his departure left fans with a lot of questions and theories.
Speaking about his exit, Jurell previously said: ‘The character of Nate and myself share a mindset of wanting to go onto a next chapter, but also just being emotional and sad over leaving everything behind. That’s how I feel as an actor, in terms of leaving a show that I love.
‘I would speak to some of my colleagues and say it’s a weird one, because it’s not like I hate my job, it’s not like I hate my surroundings or the people that I’m working with. I love everyone and I love the job.
‘I’m excited for my future but I’m also sad to be leaving behind such a beautiful show and beautiful people.’
Prior to his departure, Nate felt the wrath of Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), who believed that his son had made a pass at wife Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb).
In reality, Caleb Miligan (William Ash) had misconstrued Moira’s seizure as the pair kissing.
Having learnt about Nate’s apparent betrayal, Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh) also cut him out of her life, and soon Nate headed to Shetland without much fanfare at all.
This prompted questions from viewers, who wondered if there may be some twist ahead, like Nate getting caught up in the barn fire that later rocked Butler’s Farm.

However, it would appear that Nate is now living happily in Shetland, and a return to Emmerdale looks unlikely in the near future, with actor Jurell having secured a new role.
The star is set to head out on tour next year in James Graham’s play Boys from the Blackstuff, taking on the role of Loggo.
Based on the 1982 TV series by Alan Bleasdale, the story follows five men as they try to find work in a time where there is none.
This isn’t Jurell’s first new role since leaving the ITV soap, as he previously took to Instagram to announce that he had been working alongside retailer Sephora to voice their Christmas adverts.
