The tables have been well and truly turned on abuser Abe Fielding (Tyler Conti) in Hollyoaks, with Cleo McQueen (Nadine Mulkerrin) locking him in the chamber he kept her in for over a year.
And she looks set to kill him, with her deciding that he can’t be left to hurt anyone else. And it’s certainly not an option to keep him down there forever.
An unexpected ally is by her side, with Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) finding herself at Cleo’s side.
Discovering Cleo’s plan to make Abe pay, Sienna was with Cleo when she opened the boot to find Abe struggling inside.
After a short pause, Sienna agreed to help Cleo with her plan and, the next we saw was Abe writhing and bloody in the basement.
‘Karma’s a bitch!’ Cleo declared as he angrily tried to belittle her again. As Cleo pondered keeping him down there as long as he held her, Abe battled fruitlessly to free himself.
With Sienna in her wake, Cleo felt she finally had the power – but will she truly go through with ending his life?
Previously to this, Abe had emerged from a crashed car only for his brother Joel Dexter (Rory Douglas-Speed) to confront him with a number of punches.
Sick Abe began bragging about committing rape, which only served to trigger Joel even more into a frenzy until Marie (Rita Simons) begged him to stop before he killed him.
It was Joel who then bundled Abe into the boot and while accepting a comforting hug, Cleo swiped the keys from his back pocket.
Guys this is why you don’t keep belongings in that pocket!
As for Joel and Marie, the mum was conflicted over her feelings for her son, feeling she will never see him again.
She was ashamed that she still felt sorrow over him despite everything he has done but Joel was there to comfort her.
After all, a mum can’t suddenly switch off her maternal feelings, no matter how bad their offspring are.
Speaking of whom, he, for now, remains Cleo’s hostage. But with Tyler having finished filming, it’s fair to say he won’t be spending the full year down there.
So will Cleo exact the ultimate revenge?
