1. Donny has doubts
At the end of this week’s dramatic episodes, Jez – having been keen to keep Dilly’s murder under wraps – killed Abe.
When Grace discovered Abe’s body in the woods, she spotted an opportunity to get her love rival out of the picture. She shot Abe and then planted the gun on Mercedes, who was arrested on suspicion of murder.
With Mercedes wrongfully imprisoned, next week the police station is filled with people protesting that she’s innocent. When Donny and Misbah talk about Abe’s case, they consider whether they have the wrong person behind bars. Will the truth be revealed?
2. Cleo and Sienna make amends
Another major twist this week was the surprise kiss between Cleo and Sienna after they shared an emotional moment amid the drama with Abe.
Next week, there’s awkwardness between the pair – Sienna wants to talk to Cleo about the kiss, but Cleo has bigger concerns.
As Jez continues to stay close to John Paul, Cleo later texts Sienna and apologises for being off with her. Is there a future for this pair?
3. Arlo misreads a situation
Following Abe’s death, Arlo struggles at school and is rude to John Paul. Ro finds him crying in the toilets and comforts him, sharing some valuable advice.
Arlo doesn’t know why Ro is being nice to him and pleads with him to keep this encounter a secret.
Later, when John Paul calls Joel in to the school, Arlo gets the wrong end of the stick and thinks that Ro told his family that he was upset.
Meanwhile, Ro’s happy with how things went with his bully and tells his dad that he has made a new friend.
4. Kat connects with Frankie
Frankie and Dillon help Lucas to clear up after the launch party at The Hutch which ended in disaster.
Rex tells Dillon that he can move into James’ old place, and with Dillon and Lucas recently reunited, he asks his boyfriend to move in with him. On the pair’s moving-in day, Ste’s finding things hard, but he agrees to help out.
Rex brings Kat over, who tells Frankie that she’s also a dancer and follows her on social media. Kat then opens up to Frankie and tells her that she was abused by her uncle.
5. Jez targets Cleo
With Jez determined to cover his tracks, he sneaks into Cleo’s room while she’s sleeping.
Cleo wakes up and is horrified to see Jez standing over her. He makes his excuses and claims that he was just checking on her as she was having night terrors.
Cleo then spots that Jez has her old flat keys, which he previously stole to free Abe from the basement room.
Jez says this is a mistake and offers to give them back to the estate agents to save her the pain. But Cleo is left suspicious – will Jez be found?
6. Robbie makes a mistake
Robbie’s struggling to control his emotions, and he’s grieving the loss of his and Vicky’s unborn child.
When he hears Dillon talking about his excitement to move on without the responsibility of his baby, Robbie lashes out and hits him.
Later, Robbie gets drunk and makes a pass at his brother’s wife Nancy, who he previously had a brief romantic connection with. How will Nancy react?
7. Ro continues to struggle
Realising that their son is in trouble, Diane and Tony visit the school to speak to Nancy about the bullying Ro is being subjected to, with Diane making it clear that it’s a hate crime to make transphobic comments.
Diane comforts Ro and tells him that he can spend the night at her place.
But later, Diane is distracted by her new romance with DI Banks, and Ro sneaks off with a bottle of wine, turning to drink again.
The situation turns more serious when Diane discovers bruises on Ro, so calls in DI Banks for help. Will Ro’s ordeal be dealt with?
8. Darren gets suspicious
Darren questions Frankie about Kat, as he’s concerned about why she’s hanging around with teenagers. He and Nancy then sit down for an anniversary meal, but when Darren hears loud music coming from Dillon’s party, he grows more concerned about his daughter.
He decides to go and check on Frankie and sees Kat at the party – who he already knows from his time spent staying with Charlie. He pulls Kat aside and lets her know that Frankie is his daughter.
Frankie sees this conversation and is worried that her dad is hassling her new friend. In a bid to prove that he’s still cool, Darren joins in with the party. What will this lead to?
