Hollyoaks confirms unexpected Arlo and Ro scenes as bullying story escalates
Hollyoaks spoilers follow for Tuesday’s (February 11) episode that is now available to view on Channel 4 streaming. The episode in question will air on E4 on at 7pm.
Arlo Fielding’s (Dan Hough) bullying of Ro Hutchinson (Ava Webster) escalated dramatically during the latest offering of the long-running soap.
Ro, as viewers know, has been targeted by sinister Arlo, who has repeatedly misgendered the teen and catfished him online.
The bullying affected Ro’s mental health, with the schoolboy turning to alcohol, which sparked the concern of parents Diane (Alex Fletcher) and Tony (Nick Pickard).
Believing that a pub wasn’t the right place for Ro to recover following his hospitalisation, Tony decided he should live with him at Marie’s (Rita Simons).
Little did Tony know, however, that this decision would put Ro at risk now that was under the same roof as Arlo.
The unexpected death of Abe (Tyler Conti) left Arlo emotional, with Ro offering support during his time of need.
Arlo seemed appreciative at first but, when he came to suspect that Ro told John Paul McQueen (James Sutton) that he was crying, he reverted to form and kickstarted the bullying.
Diane quizzed her son about what was the matter and put two and two together, realising that Arlo is the one bullying him.
The pub landlady confronted Marie and Arlo over such a thing but Arlo lied his way out of it. Ro, meanwhile, headed to the Dog carpark and contemplated drowning his sorrows.

The situation escalated soon afterwards, with Arlo revealing that he’s using a tracker to keep tabs on his every move, before proceeding to use Ro’s dead name.
The bully then pushed Ro to the ground, poured alcohol over him and proceeded to kick him. Will Arlo face the music over what he’s done? Will Ro get the help he needs?
