Hollyoaks has confirmed Grace Black’s next target as her criminal scheme continues – with a popular character returning next week.
Grace recently got involved with her brother Rex’s mysterious operation and is now working for his boss, corrupt cop DI Banks.
Rex has been targeting young people in the village including Dillon Ray and Frankie Osborne, with the show exploring a harrowing criminal and sexual exploitation storyline with these characters.
While Grace was initially reluctant when Rex suggested Frankie, she agreed that the teenager would be a good target because of her previous abuse ordeal.
In scenes that will air next week, Grace decides to finally come clean to husband Freddie Roscoe and admit that she purposely got herself shot on Christmas Day in an attempt to save their relationship.
Meanwhile, last month Dodger Savage returned to the village after a decade away, and it was revealed that he is an undercover police officer working on an operation involving Rex.
After Dodger was arrested, Rex moved him to the Manchester operation as he was now known to the police, and he hasn’t been seen on screen since.
But Dodger is back next week and meets up with girlfriend Maxine Minniver, with the pair having secretly reunited. Maxine, who doesn’t know about his job, feels he is hiding something from her and confronts him about it.
It seems she finds out the truth, as Maxine later tells Liberty in The Dog that the man she was seeing was undercover. This is overheard by DI Banks, who quickly tells Grace what he has just found out.
Having spoken to the boss, Grace buys some designer bags to sell and decides to recruit Maxine. She gives her a free bag, aiming to get her to confess to who she is dating and lead them to the mole.
Grace takes her scheme up a notch and gives Maxine another bag – and this one has a tracker inside. The pair bond over their accessories, and Grace steers the conversation towards men.
She hears about Maxine’s mystery man, who she claims she is no longer dating, and Grace convinces her to meet up with him to check there is nothing left to fight for in their relationship.
