Hollyoaks teases heartbreaking split in Darren and Kat mystery

Hollyoaks has teased a heartbreaking split for Darren and Nancy Osborne, as the cheating drama involving Kat Omari continues.
Kat, who previously got close to Darren while he was in Newcastle, has recently struck up a friendship with his daughter Frankie to recruit her for Rex as part of the shocking exploitation storyline.
When Darren checked on Frankie at Dillon Ray and Lucas Hay’s party last week, he got drunk and ended up in bed with Kat. Frankie walked in on them and assumed they had slept together.
In Monday’s episode, Frankie told Darren what he had done, and while he was adamant that nothing happened between them, Kat didn’t back him up and claimed he had cheated on Nancy with her.
Later, when Nancy walked in on an argument, Frankie told Darren that he had to tell his wife the truth or she would.
The confrontation will be interrupted by the news that Oscar Osborne has had an accident, after getting in the middle of Ro Hutchinson and Arlo Fielding’s fight.
In scenes that will air next week, the Osbornes sit at Oscar’s bedside in hospital, but Nancy gives Darren the cold shoulder – and she later explains that she has spoken to Frankie and knows about Kat.
When Oscar wakes up, his parents tell him that he won’t be able to hear well for a while. The police want Oscar to give a statement about what happened, but Nancy is concerned as his cochlear implant needs replacing and he is suffering symptoms of PTSD.
Jack Osborne later arrives at the hospital to take over and feels that something is off between Darren and Nancy.
He is right to be concerned, as Nancy later opens up to her husband about her struggles since he returned from Newcastle, and she admits that their trust is broken and she doesn’t feel that there is a way back for them.
As the situation escalates, Darren begins to feel that Kat is up to something. He feels that Kat has set him up and tries to report her to the police for stalking.
When Darren sees Frankie with Kat, he pleads with her to tell the truth once and for all. In the confrontation, he grabs her and Kat screams out in pain – while Grace Black watches on.
Has Darren just made things even worse?
