Hollyoaks confirms unexpected return for Warren Fox – but with a twist
Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) will return to Hollyoaks this Spring as part of a special flashback episode that will fill in the blanks of what transpired during the ‘missing’ year.
The long-running Channel 4 soap took a historic time jump back in September to herald in its new era, taking the action permanently one year into the future.
Warren was last seen hightailing it out of the country after a showdown with Dave Chen-Williams (Dominic Power), who was revealed to be none other than revered gangster Blue.
Blue had made his life a living hell, murdering mum Noma Crow (Glynis Barber) in cold blood and threatened the lives of his loved ones.
Warren confronted the gangster in heated scenes and demonstrated why he will always be Hollyoaks’ signature hard-man, before sharing a goodbye kiss with one true love Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe).
What exactly happened to Warren after he fled the village remains a mystery, but fans can finally expect answers when a flashback episode – set to hit screens this Spring – fills in the missing pieces.
‘There’s a lot the fans don’t know about the missing year and I’m excited to be a part of the special episode’, said actor Jamie Lomas as he discussed reprising his iconic role.
‘I always love coming back home to Hollyoaks.’
The special episode will also detail Mercedes McQueen’s (Jennifer Metcalfe) diagnosis with bowel cancer and Joel Dexter’s (Rory Douglas-Speed) relapse.

This isn’t the first time Hollyoaks has stepped back in time to touch on the missing year, with Sienna Blake’s (Anna Passey) relationship with Ethan Williams (Matthew James Bailey) explored via short flashbacks in October.
Leela Dexter’s (Kirsty-Leigh Porter) ordeal was also first revealed to audiences with flashbacks. Warren’s comeback, however, marks the first time that an episode will be devoted to the gap in time – and it’s certainly not one to be missed!
