1. Ste and Rex grow closer
Ste wakes up after his psychotic episode to find Rex continuing to support him and looking after Clara and James. He says that he is grateful for Rex’s help but makes it clear that he doesn’t need him to be his nurse.
But Rex doesn’t give up and admits that he finds it hard to stay away from Ste. The former flames take a walk together and open up about their feelings and their individual struggles. Ste remains unaware of Rex’s horrific exploitation operation, but with new pictures showing the pair kissing, is their romance back on?
2. Leela is concerned
At the hospital, Cleo spots Mercedes being wheeled past her by prison guards, as she arrives for her chemotherapy treatment. When she approaches her cousin, she is rejected, as Mercedes tells her to stay away. Cleo has a panic attack and she is comforted by her ex Joel.
Meanwhile, Leela suspects that Joel is hiding something when she finds out that her husband didn’t turn up for work. She sees Joel with Cleo and confronts him, suggesting that he is only still with her because Clara turned out to be his daughter.
3. John Paul has doubts
John Paul begins to have concerns about his romance with Jez, realising that they don’t communicate enough and fearing that Jez isn’t serious about their relationship.
Meanwhile, Martha gets worried when she sees Jez looking through his sinister book of murders – but she is relieved when her son says that he has started seeing a therapist.
4. Sienna and Cleo set a date
With Cleo at the hospital preparing for an important job interview, she discovers that Sienna has returned to the village after going away on holiday with her twins.
The pair continue to grow closer next week and confide in each other about their problems. Cleo then asks Sienna to be her date to an event. How will Sienna react?
5. Lucas is torn
After ending their relationship, Lucas tells Dillon that he wants nothing to do with him or Rex. But Dillon has more pressing matters, as he follows Rex’s instructions and delivers Grace a package. He shows off in his flash new car, but Grace advises him to stay under the radar.
Ste wants to know why Lucas turned to drugs, while Lucas tries to tell his dad that he thinks Rex is trouble. Lucas is caught in the middle, as he doesn’t want to admit the truth about his overdose to protect Dillon.
With father and son at odds, Rex offers to smooth things over with Lucas. Having enjoyed his taste of family life, Rex promises Lucas that he will walk away if he ever makes his dad unhappy. Will he be able to win Lucas over?
6. Arlo causes chaos
While Diane’s fate is being kept under wraps after her accident, in next week’s aftermath, Tony cooks a family dinner at The Hutch.
But bully Arlo takes the opportunity to stir up trouble, and he continues to fill Ro’s head with dark thoughts. What is his next move?
7. Meet Tommy
As Cleo encourages Joel to focus on his marriage, Leela arranges to meet up with someone else, and it is revealed that she has being seeing a therapist called Tommy. In their session, she unloads her worries and explains her concerns about Joel and Cleo. Tommy consoles her, but he misreads the signals and leans in for a kiss.
Later, Joel tries to make amends with Leela and surprise her with a dinner. But will she reveal what happened with Tommy?
8. Mercedes faces questions
Myra returns home to the village, determined to find out why Mercedes confessed to killing Abe and who she is covering for.
She enlists the help of Misbah and Maxine and arrives at the hospital to stage an intervention for her daughter. Will Mercedes admit the truth?
9. Jez’s big proposal
Next week, it is revealed that Jez is also having sessions with therapist Tommy. He opens up about his past relationship with his late twin Patrick and his struggles with opening up to people after his brother stole the love of his life.
Tommy is distracted after what happened with Leela, but he gives Jez some advice about how to make things work with John Paul. Jez wants to show John Paul how much he cares, so outside the hospital he gets down on one knee and proposes! What will John Paul say?
