Hollyoaks fans shocked by Grace Black’s new direction: ‘Can’t be redeemed’

Hollyoaks fans have been left shocked by Grace Black’s new direction, with one viewer saying the character “can’t be redeemed”.
Grace returned to the village last year after spending some time behind bars, and has become increasingly bitter and villainous following the breakdown of her marriage to Freddie Roscoe.
She has since collaborated with half-brother Rex Gallagher and the corrupt DI Banks in the running of a criminal gang, which has recently seen them target Dillon Ray and Frankie Osborne with the aim of exploiting them at VIP parties.
Wednesday’s (March 19) episode saw Grace plunge to new lows as she manipulated Frankie into having sex with a party guest under the false pretence that she was “taking back control” of her life, a move that many fans of the soap have said cannot be forgiven.
“Grace can’t be redeemed. She’s legit manipulating a vulnerable 17 year old into thinking she needs to do this to take her power back after being sexually abused. She’s legit profiting off it #hollyoaks,” wrote one viewer on X.
“I want this Grace back, she’s always been a baddie but I’m so gutted they’ve made her character irredeemable this way #hollyoaks,” added a second fan, with another echoing these sentiments as they wrote: “Grace is evil, there’s no coming back from this?? #Hollyoaks”.
“Incredibly dark episode tonight. Surely there’s no way back now for Grace and Rex (who is more complex than I even thought after his confession to Ste) #Hollyoaks,” wrote a fourth viewer, with a fifth describing Grace’s actions as “disgusting and sickening”.
“Grace is soo evil i can’t believe what they’ve done to her character #Hollyoaks,” added another shocked fan, with several others noting that there is seemingly only one way out for Grace following her crimes.
