Hollyoaks confirms Sienna’s tragic health fears after collapse

Hollyoaks’ Sienna Blake harboured worries of an underlying family condition following her devastating collapse.
The character was left unable to move in yesterday’s (March 24) instalment as she collapsed to the floor in agony, with the development coming just as she prepared to take the next step in her relationship with Cleo McQueen by going on holiday to Bali.
Tonight’s episode began with Sienna crying for help, with Joel eventually coming to her aid as he heard her cries from the street. Cleo, however, was left heartbroken after assuming that Sienna had never intended to go on the trip, leaving a voicemail to say that it was “her loss”.
As Sienna was rushed to the ambulance, she tearfully informed both Liberty and Martha that she couldn’t feel her legs. Liberty remarked that she would call Cleo to tell her of the developments, though Sienna was adamant that she didn’t want Cleo to know.
As Jez arrived at the hospital, Liberty shared that Sienna had been diagnosed with temporary paralysis, adding that it could have been triggered by increased anxiety. Sienna, however, was sceptical of this.
In a private moment with Jez, Sienna shared her belief that it was a symptom of Motor Neurone Disease, which her late father Patrick had previously been diagnosed with. Jez attempted to calm her, though Sienna accused him of “downplaying” the situation.
Sienna, who was devastated that her “latest shot at happiness” had seemingly failed, recalled her experience of seeing her father suffer from the disease. Her spirits were lifted, however, when Cleo surprisingly entered the room.
Despite Cleo sharing that they could be vulnerable together, an emotional Sienna shunned her as she remarked that she didn’t want any “lost puppies” in her life anymore, with a heartbroken Cleo leaving after being told that she wasn’t wanted.
