Lucas makes contact with struggling Dillon in Hollyoaks ahead of tragic twist

Lucas Hay (Oscar Curtis) reaches out to struggling Dillon Ray (Nathaniel Dass) in Hollyoaks next week as he offers to make his former flame a meal.
Dillon, as viewers are aware, has been groomed by Rex Gallagher (Jonny Labey) on behalf of Grace Black (Tamara Wall) and DI Banks (Drew Cain), who are running a child exploitation operation.
The past few months have proven tough on Dillon and best friend Frankie Osborne (Isabelle Smith) as Rex’s grip tightened on the teens, with Lucas voicing his concerns at various points.
The final straw came for Lucas when Dillon left him outside the hospital after a drug overdose, with the young chef subsequently ending their relationship.
But despite them having gone their separate ways, Lucas is still protective of Dillon and thus has been keeping an eye on him from afar.
‘Ultimately Lucas wants the best for Dillon,’ actor Oscar Curtis previously told Metro. ‘And he sees Rex as the issue.
‘[Looking out for each other] is something that will always happen. For both Dillon and Lucas, it’s always going to be that one ex you can’t get over. Or you know that one relationship where they’re always breaking up and getting back together? It feels like that.’
Dillon, who was attacked last week in an assault orchestrated by DI Banks, is finding working for Grace and Rex particularly difficult and next week he and Frankie are struggling more than ever.

Darren Osborne (Ashley Taylor Dawson) is worried about Frankie and thus reaches out to Donny (Louis Emerick), who confirms he knew of Dillon’s previous trouble with spice vapes.
Misbah Maalik (Harvey Virdi) steps in to stop an argument between the two concerned parental figures and later takes it upon herself to talk to Dillon.

Lucas, meanwhile, witnesses Dillon’s card being declined and, determined to help, he steps in and pays for his former flame’s order. What’s more, he offers to cook Dillon a meal.
Will Dillon take Lucas up on the offer? Will the exes reunite?
The Hollyoaks Spring Trailer confirmed that a kiss does ensue between the two but there’s more tragedy ahead, with Lucas raced to hospital.
