Hollyoaks airs new Grace suspicions in Lucas shock collapse

Rex finds Lucas unresponsive on the floor.

Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks has aired a shock collapse for Lucas Hay, with suspicion falling on Grace Black.

In tonight’s episode of the soap, Lucas was put in charge of babysitting baby James while Ste Hay attended John Paul McQueen’s engagement party at The Dog.

When Rex Gallagher returned to find the door wide open and the sound of crying coming from the bedroom, he found Lucas lying unresponsive on the floor.

As his sister Grace entered the room, Rex feared the worst, suspecting her of being behind Lucas’ collapse. A panicked Rex said to Grace: “What have you done?”

Elsewhere in today’s episode, Donny Clark finally found out the truth about DI Banks after trying to find out who was supplying drugs to Frankie Osborne and Dillon Ray.

Last week, Donny received an anonymous text that told him to look closer to home, and today he figured out it was Rex who sent the message.

Rex is trying to bring down the illegal operation in order to save his relationship with Ste after Ste’s son Lucas told Rex he would expose him.

After Rex told Donny to put pressure on Banks, Donny questioned the corrupt police detective, who was later seen making plans to handle Donny “permanently”.

When Grace caught Rex giving Donny information about Banks, she threatened to tell Banks about Rex, even if it put his life at risk.

“Banks has just messaged me for a meeting. If he’s got wind of this, he will take it out on them, and you, and your family. And I will be the next in line when he finds out I knew about it. But I will be just fine if I’m the one who tells him what you did,” Grace said to Rex.

Given that Rex and Grace’s relationship is strained, Rex naturally assumed that Grace had something to do with Lucas collapsing.

But what has happened to Lucas, and is Grace really behind it?
