Hollyoaks reveals ominous next steps for twisted Clare Devine revenge plot
What does the villain have planned?
Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
Hollyoaks has revealed the ominous next steps for Clare Devine’s twisted revenge plot, with the storyline kicking off earlier this week just as another villain was exposed. What does she have planned for her adversaries?
The villainous Clare has been causing mayhem in the village since her return from the dead in May, with the schemer being revealed as the wife of DI Alistair Banks and the main figure behind a criminal gang.
Clare’s world was turned upside down following Alistair’s death in a shooting, with Frankie Osborne, Vicky Grant and Dillon Ray all being present. Dillon was later revealed as the shooter as Clare’s empire was brought down.
Earlier this week, Clare took a bold stop as she prepared to leave the village after attaining her money from serial killer Jez Blake, with Clare abducting the teenage trio in a bid to find out who killed her husband.

Next week’s scenes will see Clare be involved in more family matters as Rex Gallagher discovers that he is Grace Black’s son, with Froggy later having to break up a fist fight between Grace and Clare.
Following the scuffle, Froggy and Clare share a drink as he tells her to stop her vendetta against the teens. She ignores his advice, however, and vows to avenge her husband’s death while punishing those who kept her separate from Tori.
“Frankie, Dillon and Vicky might have narrowly escaped death this week,” says our insider for the Channel 4 soap. “But if you know [the] evil Clare, you know she won’t give up easily.”
“In killing Banks, the teens were only trying to save themselves from their horrific exploitation ordeal – but now Clare is more determined than ever to make them pay,” they continued.

Clare’s revenge storyline comes amid Gemma Bissix’s impending exit from the soap, though the actor clarified that it wouldn’t be a permanent departure as her personal situation means she will “dip in and out” of the soap.
“It was reported that I was leaving in the first place – and I never reported that! And then it [was] reported that I signed a new contract. There is nothing like that – Clare was never leaving,” she explained. “I’m always going to be part of Hollyoaks.
“I’ve got children down in London, so this stint has been a six-month stint. If Clare goes away for a little bit, she’s not dying. Producer Hannah [Cheers] promised to never kill me off, but I’m never going to be someone who lives in the village… Clare will dip in and out.”
