Hollyoaks’ Dillon uncovers horrific Lucas and Ste secret in new twist

Dillon Ray discovered a devastating secret on Hollyoaks as he learned of the true nature of the relationship between Lucas and Ste Hay, with the teenager having some choice words for his boyfriend.

The Channel 4 soap began a child-to-parent abuse storyline earlier this year, with Lucas taking his anger out on Ste in violent outbursts. After threatening to attack his father once again, Lucas lied and told people that Ste was the one who was violent.

Ste was subsequently held hostage alongside Sienna Blake by the villainous Jez Blake on the Love Boat before eventually being rescued, with Monday’s (6 October) episode beginning as he recovered in hospital.

Lucas rallied around his father despite their previous incident, with Leela and Peri Lomax looking perplexed as he apologised to Ste. He covered for his son and took the blame for the situation, but asked for a private word with Lucas.

Ste ordered Lucas to get help for his issues as he shared that he “wouldn’t live in fear” following his ordeal on the Love Boat. If his son didn’t comply, he shared that he would kick him out. Unbeknownst to the pair, Dillon was listening in.

Ste subsequently had to rush to Rex Gallagher’s aid after he discovered that Grace Black was actually his mother, with Ste walking in as his partner began to trash the garage in a wild rage.

The pair returned home and Ste kept up his lie regarding Lucas’s bruise. In a candid moment, Ste pledged to work towards a better future as he recalled the terrible situation with Jez. Rex, however, was in no mood for intimacy following the earlier revelation.

Lucas, meanwhile, walked in on Dillon as he began to pack his belongings. The latter explained that he knew that Ste was covering for Lucas, and questioned if he could stay in a relationship with a violent person – will the couple last?
