Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
Hollyoaks has released a music video featuring the show’s cast, which could hint at an affair between two characters.
This week, Hollyoaks jumped forward a year in time, a creative move that is a response to recent budget cuts on the show.
As the cast had changed and storylines had moved on considerably, the soap marked this new era by unveiling a brand-new title sequence at the beginning of Tuesday’s episode (September 17).
Set to a refreshed version of the theme song, the new titles show the cast having fun in The Dog in the Pond, with a snappy montage highlighting the different dynamics between the characters.
But following the first week of exciting time jump episodes, the show has now released an extended version of the title sequence, in the form of a music video.
The full-length video, available to watch here, is set to the song ‘Make Me Happy’ by Aimee Chen and shows the same clips that are in the titles as well as lots more bonus footage.
“We’ve delivered new titles,” Hollyoaks posted alongside the video on social media, “but how about an entire Hollyoaks MUSIC VIDEO? Okay, here it is.”
But fans were also encouraged to look a little closer at the new video, saying, “Are there any spoilers hidden within? Hmmm…”
Some eagle-eyed viewers spotted Tony and Marie looking close in one clip as she painted his nails, with Diane appearing jealous as she watched on.
This week’s episodes have revealed that Tony and Diane are at a crossroads in their relationship, with Diane potentially implying that Tony has been unfaithful. Could he have had an affair with Marie?
Meanwhile, Lucas, while not appearing in this week’s episodes, will shortly be released from young offenders, having served his time for attacking JJ.
There is hope for his relationship with Dillon as they share a loving look in the video. But with Frankie seen pulling Lucas away from his partner, there could be trouble ahead for the popular pairing.
Also throughout the video, lots of characters can be seen on their phones, either calling or texting – perhaps suggesting that there are more secrets to be revealed in upcoming episodes.
Can you spot any other potential spoilers?
